A traditional British village pub  serving traditional pub food. Bookings preferred at least 24 hours in advance.

 

Our menu is what is listed on this site only and is structured to accommodate the majority. Unfortunately we may not be able to accommodate everyone particularly with last minute requests

 

 Dogs and walkers welcome but please bear in mind space for dogs inside is limited to the bar area only as is the number of dogs allowed per group.

Contacting us in advance will prevent disappointment if we cannot accommodate you

Log-burners in the bar and lounge as well as a great garden area where you can enjoy the views of The Derwent Valley World Heritage Site  

Our food menu is very much based on typical pub classics

We have a small kitchen and a small team and so cannot always accommodate dietary requests without advance notice

Spicy: Onion Bhajis, vegetable samosas, meat samosas with a crisp salad garnish, yoghurt and mint sauce, mango chutney and hoi sin sauce
